This creates pulse-like electrical fields that have a destructive effect even at a distance of several hundred meters. The resulting overvoltages destroy electrical devices connected via the antenna, such as multiswitches, LNBs, receivers, and TVs. These electromagnetic fields, which generate induction peaks, reach electrical devices unhindered via coaxial cables. The Dur-line DLBS 3001 protects your devices at a low cost. This surge protector should be screwed directly onto each multiswitch input or directly onto each LNB output. The through loss of this DLBS 3001 is only 0.3 dB. Inside the Dur-line DLBS 3001, a gas conductor acts as a voltage monitor. If the voltage between the core and the shield exceeds 200 volts, a short circuit occurs in this gas path, short-circuiting surge currents of up to 8,000 amperes before they can have a destructive effect on downstream devices. Once the overvoltage is over, the gas conductor switches back to protection.
