Details: The LD Systems HPA 1 is a versatile headphone amplifier with high output power for stage, studio, and home recording, and the perfect connection solution for wired in-ear monitoring. Housed in a robust, ergonomically designed plastic housing with a soft-touch finish and practical belt clip, the HPA 1 is extremely comprehensively equipped. In addition to locking XLR connectors for the balanced L/R stereo input, it also features a 3.5 mm stereo jack as an aux input, which can be used in parallel for click or playback tracks. It is protected against excessive input levels for safe operation; a hollow pin jack with negative internal contact allows the connection of a power adapter in fixed operation. A 3.5 mm stereo jack serves as the headphone and earphone output. Level and balance can be adjusted with easy-grip rotary controls, and a button switches from the stereo signal to the mono sum. A full-fledged limiter is integrated for distortion-free playback and as feedback protection. To provide an overview of its functions, the LD Systems HPA 1 features two-color LEDs that indicate, among other things, the limiter's response to peak levels and the battery level. At 165 grams, the headphone amplifier is exceptionally lightweight and can operate for up to 12 hours on a high-quality 9V battery.
