Ultra Nearfield Monitoring System The brand-new IN-UNF speaker system is based on the technology of the successful IN-5 and IN-8 studio monitors and is an ultra-nearfield solution for producers and users who want to work professionally in desktop environments. UNF stands for "Ultra-Nearfield": the IN-UNF speakers were developed for use in small rooms where, due to room acoustics or the tolerance of neighbors, only a quieter listening environment is possible. The speaker system offers a full-range audio spectrum with reference levels and an optimal headroom at approximately 0.8 m. It consists of three main parts: a bass unit and two satellites. The bass unit is equipped with two 4.5-inch high-excursion woofers, the amplifier, and the system's electronic components. Because the two woofers are positioned horizontally opposite each other, no natural vibrations are transmitted to the desk or objects placed on top of the bass unit. The satellite speakers utilize the same coaxial midrange and tweeter as the IN-series speakers. The entire speaker system is designed for desktop use, yet offers the same low-distortion listening experience as a pair of IN-8 speakers at normal listening distance. Flexible placement options allow the IN-UNF system to be easily integrated into existing desktop environments. The subwoofer can be placed vertically behind a laptop or monitor, or used horizontally as a monitor riser for a screen. To meet all user needs, various inputs are located on the rear of the subwoofer. Computers, smartphones, and tablets can be connected using the USB-C port, which supports 24-bit resolution and a 48k sampling rate. Optical and 3.5 mm inputs support both digital and analog connections to consumer devices such as game consoles and receivers. Stereo TRS inputs are available for connection to standard pro audio equipment. Although the IN-UNF system is perfectly tuned for desktop use, the desk was considered the acoustic element of the system, thus solving some of the problems typically associated with placing speakers on a desk. DIP switches also account for the system's position in the room and allow the user to adjust the bass, midrange, and treble to their liking.
