Details: The F8S active subwoofer from Fluid Audio was developed for use in recording studios, for gamers, in home theaters, and other applications. Despite its compact dimensions, it delivers an exceptional bass foundation. Many musical genres benefit from this, including hip hop, house, rock, dance, and others. When mixing, it is particularly advantageous to be able to hear all frequency ranges precisely in order to optimally assess your own mix decisions. Thanks to the compact subwoofer, this is now child's play, as the F8S reproduces all sonic details down to 30 Hz. For sound engineers, it is very important that a mix always sounds equally good on different systems. That's why a standby footswitch is included. This allows the subwoofer to be switched on or off, allowing you to evaluate a mix with or without an extended bass range. The F8S also offers two EQ settings that can be activated depending on the music genre: a conventional setting (Flat) with a flat frequency response, and a "Punch" setting, which is particularly suitable for dance music or other styles where the mid-bass frequencies are very prominent. Further flexibility is provided by the F8S's phase adjustment (0-180 degrees), which allows the phase to be perfectly matched to that of the satellite monitors. The adjustable low-pass crossover filter can be used to set the crossover frequency between 50 and 200 Hz.
