Details: The matrix switch allows any input signal to be assigned to the outputs. One input signal can be distributed to up to 4 outputs, 2 input signals to 2 outputs each (or source 1 to one display and source 2 to 3 displays), etc. A common application is to connect a television, video projector, and sound system simultaneously. 16 different EDID switch modes allow for specific negotiation of the maximum HDMI audio and video formats. These settings allow you to force higher formats that not all of your devices support. A display with an unusual video resolution, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, or for 3D video can be used optimally if its EDID is copied. If a source delivers Ultra HD signals, the scaler can be activated for display on an additional connected Full HD display. The original signal of 3840 x 2160 pixels is then converted to 1920 x 1080 pixels – exactly a quarter. The respective refresh rate and color information are retained. A Full HD display will therefore receive 1080p at 60 Hz if the output signal is 2160p at 60 Hz. This ensures the best possible image quality on the Full HD display. The main display will continue to show Ultra HD / 2160p. (Other PC resolutions such as 1440p or other display resolutions such as 720p will not be scaled.) If a Full HD display or projector does not display video despite an active downscaler, please check whether it supports 1080p. Some devices are limited to 1080i or cannot handle 24 Hz or 60 Hz. The recommended maximum HDMI cable length for 4k 60Hz is <5 m at the input and <3 m at the output. Longer distances are possible using a fiber optic hybrid HDMI cable. All functions can be conveniently controlled via infrared remote control or directly on the device. Power consumption: max. 11 W, in standby mode: typically 0.2 W. Dimensions (W x L x H): 220 x 105 x 19 mm. Note: Soundbars with HDMI-ARC or HDMI-eARC ports cannot be connected directly to an HDMI output; only soundbars with a standard HDMI input can be connected. The switch is updateable via a Windows PC.
