Description
Brand: FeinTech
Color: black
Characteristics:
- HDMI splitter for signal distribution from 2 players to 4 end devices such as TV, monitor, video projector, AV receiver
- With HDMI Audio Extractor to output the sound of the source or TV Audio Return Channel via SPDIF Toslink (Stereo, DTS, Dolby Digital 5.1) and 3.5 mm jack (only for stereo, not for ARC)
- Free assignment of HDMI inputs and outputs (e.g. 2 sources on 2 displays each, or 1 source on 4 displays), HDMI outputs can be switched on and off, control via remote control or buttons
- Supports Ultra HD 4K 60Hz YUV 4:4:4, RGB (up to 18 Gbps) and HDR including Dolby Vision, supports HDMI-CEC and HDCP 2.2
- Supports all audio formats via HDMI, depending on the set audio EDID (Pass, 2.0 stereo or 5.1 sound) and the end devices (Dolby Atmos and HD audio formats are supported in Pass mode)
- Notes: - Typically, you will only be using one sound system in the same room. Therefore, connect your main TV to HDMI-OUT A and the sound system to SPDIF Output A. - ARC only works with the TV socket labeled "HDMI-ARC."

Details: With this 2x4 HDMI matrix switch, you can supply up to 4 HDMI sinks such as televisions, projectors, and AV receivers. The sound system can also be connected via SPDIF/Toslink or analog audio. There are 2 inputs for HDMI sources. You can freely assign all connections, e.g. output from HDMI source 1 via outputs 1 to 3 and simultaneous output of HDMI source 2 to output 4. The matrix therefore replaces a 4-way splitter, an audio extractor, and a 2-way switch. The HDMI switch is fully compatible with all video resolutions up to Ultra HD (maximum 4096x2160 at 60 Hz), as well as HDR10, HLG-HDR, and Dolby Vision. The audio extractor supplies sound for headphones or a hi-fi system via the two 3.5 mm jack outputs if the source is currently playing stereo sound. You can set the audio EDID to 2.0 for this purpose. With higher formats or when ARC is active, the outputs remain muted. The switch delivers the sound via the two SPDIF Toslink outputs if the source is playing stereo, Dolby Digital or DTS. This means a maximum of 5.1 sound as a bitstream. If this is the desired audio format, set 5.1 on the switch. Playback also works for TV sound when ARC is active. All formats can be transmitted via HDMI, including Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, and DTS-HD. The source and the HDMI sinks must of course support the format - and signal this via EDID. Please note that many players adhere to the HDMI specification and only output formats supported by the HDMI sinks. For example, Apple TV only outputs 4K Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos sound if ALL connected HDMI sinks support it. This means that if you connect a projector, HD sound is no longer possible. For some other HDMI sources, you can set the video and audio format manually. This depends on both the device and the app/software running on it. The VMS02400's EDID management can overwrite the audio information of the HDMI sinks. This allows the sound output to be limited to stereo or increased to 5.1 audio formats (Dolby Digital, DTS). The three modes 2.0, 5.1, and PASS are used for this. Higher audio formats are only possible if all detected HDMI sinks support them. To do this, select PASS mode. If two TVs are connected to HDMI outputs 1 and 2, their internal audio (receiver tuner or app) can be output to the two SPDIF outputs – even simultaneously if you have two sound systems in separate rooms. This is achieved using the ARC (Audio Return Channel) function. In ARC mode, the two analog audio outputs remain muted.
