With this device, you can wirelessly transmit the sound of an audio source in transmitter (TX) mode and play it back on Bluetooth headphones or speakers. In receiver (RX) mode, you can receive a Bluetooth audio signal and play it back on an audio amplifier, wired headphones, or similar devices. Power can be supplied via the built-in battery or a USB-A port. The transmitter or receiver function can be selected using the slide switch. The adapter is compatible with all previous and newer Bluetooth audio devices. It supports not only the standard Bluetooth codec SBC, but also the high-quality formats aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX, and AAC. This not only results in better sound but also reduces latency. This is the term used to describe the time delay that occurs during signal processing and transmission. With aptX Low Latency, transmission occurs almost in real time. This is especially important for musicians and when watching television. When used there, you get sound synchronized with the picture if your headphones also support the aptX Low Latency codec. The ABT00101 is therefore ideal for connection to a television and then sends the sound to Bluetooth headphones. Thanks to Multipoint, even to two headphones at the same time. The best possible codec is always used so that your audio device is optimally supported. The codec in use is indicated by the flashing colored LED. When used as an audio receiver, music from a smartphone, for example, can be played on a hi-fi system or car radio (or it enables conventional wired headphones to transmit wirelessly). You can use the buttons to adjust the volume, skip tracks forward/backward, or pause. The built-in battery provides approximately 20 hours of operation (or 14 hours with an SPDIF connection). The Bluetooth adapter is charged or continuously supplied with power via the USB micro socket. The ABT00101 supports multipoint (two headphones listen simultaneously to the transmitter, not with aptX Low Latency) and dual-link (two smartphones are paired simultaneously to the receiver and used alternately). You can configure whether aptX HD is prioritized for the highest audio quality or aptX Low Latency for the lowest delay. The analog and digital connections CANNOT be used simultaneously.
